Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Sr. Physician Assistant to deliver same-day acute care across Express Care sites in San Diego.

You will assess patients with respiratory infections, UTIs, rashes, minor injuries, and more, following established guidelines to ensure quality and access to care. The role requires the ability to float between multiple Express Care locations, including Vista, La Jolla, Encinitas and more, to ensure reliable patient coverage seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program.
• California Physician Assistant license required.
• Current PA certification from NCCPA.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide same-day acute care to patients with a wide range of conditions.
• Float to all Express Care locations as needed to support coverage.
• Follow standardized advanced practice guidelines to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Assess patients and take appropriate clinical actions within scope of practice.
