Job summary

Quaker Houghton seeks an Export Logistics Specialist to own and optimize the end-to-end export process for ocean, truck, and air shipments. You will collaborate with Customers, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing to meet OTIF targets while controlling costs.

The role requires 3–5 years in export/logistics, strong analytical skills, and experience with trade agreements. Proficiency in ACE portal and ECCN/HTS classification is a plus; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• College degree required.
• 3-5 years of export and logistics experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook; JD Edwards experience desired.
• Experience with free trade agreements and how they function desired.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a flexible environment with minimum supervision.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and influence skills.
• Experience in developing and driving cross-functional process improvements.

• Proficiency with ACE portal; classify goods: ECCN and HTS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the export strategy; manage end-to-end export processes via ocean, truck, and air.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations including denied parties and REACH; advise on import compliance.
• Process orders and inquiries via multiple channels; update customers on pricing, confirmations, and shipping status; book shipments with Freight Forwarder.
• Maintain and update customer data/files; monitor performance metrics for order accuracy and data entry.
• Maintain certifications and classifications for NAFTA/USMCA as applicable.
• Collaborate with procurement to source external providers, freight forwarders, brokers, and compliance experts to meet service levels and cost targets.
• Analyze performance and trends and drive cross-functional improvements within the export process.
