Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator for our Houston-area client in the freight forwarding sector. You will manage ocean export shipments from booking through departure, coordinating with customers, carriers, truckers, overseas agents, and internal teams.

Key duties include carrier bookings, vessel schedules, export documentation, and tracking shipments while proactively addressing delays; strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' ocean export/freight forwarding experience.
• Experience with CargoWise is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation and processes.
• Experience working with ocean carriers/NVOCCs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end ocean export shipments
• Manage carrier bookings, cut-offs and vessel schedules
• Prepare and review export documentation
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, terminals and overseas agents
• Track shipments and proactively manage delays/issues
• Handle Bills of Lading, Shipping Instructions and AES/EEI
• Maintain accurate shipment records and support billing
