Job summary

Expeditors in Salt Lake City is seeking an Ocean Export Lead Agent to ensure timely freight movement and accurate data entry, while delivering exceptional customer service in the Ocean Export Department.

The role supports tracking, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ideal for someone with 6 months to 1 year of related experience, strong communication, and a willingness to grow within a Fortune 500 logistics leader.

Qualifications

6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Understanding of ocean documentation process is a plus
Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, comprehension, and clear communication
Pro-active, strong organizational skills
Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Ocean Export Department.
Enter data accurately into the operational system and maintain records.
Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and generate reports.
Meet regulatory compliance requirements with internal and external standards.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Maintain up-to-date customer SOPs in the DLSOPs.
Provide timely email and internal/external communications; escalate to management when needed.
