Job summary

Axiom Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to manage end-to-end ocean freight shipments from booking to delivery. You will coordinate with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and internal teams to ensure on-time performance and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include booking, documentation preparation (SED/ITN, invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, drafts), ERP data entry, shipment tracking, and proactive issue resolution. Travel ~10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ocean export experience with a freight forwarder or large manufacturer.
• Strong knowledge of ocean export and intermodal operations.
• Experience with export documentation and international shipping processes.
• Familiarity with INCOTERMS.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% to other office or plant locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the complete ocean export process, including booking, documentation, tracking, and tracing.
• Book U.S. export shipments with ocean carriers through EDI and email.
• Enter and maintain accurate booking and shipment information in the ERP system.
• Monitor shipment updates and adjust booking details and schedules as needed.
• Coordinate with ocean carriers and drayage providers to resolve container and chassis issues.
• Prepare and review export documentation (SED/ITN, shipping instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists, Ocean Bills of Lading, bank drafts, letters of credit).
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, and Production teams to communicate load schedule changes.
• Ensure export shipments and documentation are handled accurately and in accordance with requirements.
