• Track shipments and resolve delays or operational issues.
• Ensure export documentation and processes comply with regulations.
• Enter and maintain shipment information in the TMS/forwarding system.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and service providers as required.
• Obtain and review freight rates and assist with quotations.
• Provide customers with timely shipment milestones updates.
• Maintain strong customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

The Export Coordinator will manage international export shipments from start to finish, coordinating with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and accurately. The role will cover both Air and Ocean exports, requiring strong knowledge of international freight processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Air & Ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery
• Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading
• Coordinate bookings with airlines, steamship lines, trucking companies and other transportation providers
• Communicate with customers, overseas agents and international offices regarding shipment status
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or operational issuesEnsure export documentation and processes comply with applicable regulations
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within the company's TMS/forwarding system
• Coordinate with customs brokers and other service providers as required
• Obtain and review freight rates and assist with shipment quotations
• Monitor shipment milestones and provide customers with timely updates
• Maintain strong customer service throughout the entire shipment lifecycle

Requirements

• 3+ years of U.S. freight forwarding experience
• Solid understanding of international freight forwarding procedures
• Experience handling export documentation and international shipments
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with a freight forwarding/TMS system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
