Job summary

Savino Del Bene USA seeks two energetic Ocean Export Coordinators in Chicago to join our growing team. This on-site role involves processing export documentation, coordinating with overseas agents, and ensuring timely releases to carriers and customers.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of freight forwarder/export agency experience, solid knowledge of Incoterms, and strong communication and Excel skills. Hazmat certification is a plus. ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 familiarity is expected.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office and data entry.

• Hazmat certification is a plus.
• Willingness to adapt to new environments and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process export documentation for accounts.
• Ensure documentation is accurately processed and released timely to carriers and clients.
• Obtain and create quotes for shipments; source best transportation methods.
• Coordinate with overseas agents for pre-alerts and documentation.
• Track shipments and provide updates to clients and sales.
• Maintain shipment files and ensure timely billing.
• Support alternate accounts as needed.
• Maintain conformance to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 systems.

With a network of more than 385 offices and over 5,500 employees across 5 continents, Savino Del Bene USA is a leading freight forwarding company and we are currently looking for 2 energetic and well-rounded Ocean Export Coordinators in Chicago to join our growing team.

Essential Job Functions

• Receive, review, and process export documentation for accounts.
• Must have a better than average understanding of the Export Regulations or other government agency regulations that govern exports.
• Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers and agents in a timely manner.
• Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation.
• Communicate with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.
• Continue to explore different options to reduce cost, and increase revenues.
• Track and trace shipment and provide updates to clients and sales.
• Uphold a strong and professional relationship with ocean intermediaries, transportation agencies and sales.
• Demonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction per company policy.
• Maintain shipment files and ensure billing is completed within a timely fashion.
• Assist as backup for alternate accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Expected to maintain conformance to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 integrated management systems.
• Must be able to work on site at the Miami Branch this is not a remote role

Qualifications
