Deutsche Post DHL Group (DHL Express) is seeking an Export Agent to join our Customs Support team in Kentucky. You will contact shippers and receivers to secure correct documentation and ensure compliance with U.S.

Customs regulations, assisting fast, compliant delivery of shipments. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments, reviewing invoices and air waybills, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and web-based applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge and pass security checks.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to obtain correct documentation for US customs compliance.
• Research tariff codes using government websites.
• Process requests for extensions and cancellations of shipments.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations by providing missing information.
• Maintain communication with internal and external departments.
• Review documents to determine information needed for customs clearance.
• Communicate shipment status with origin and destination locations.
• Verify and correct shipment documents for accuracy.
• Assign shipments for corrective actions and ensure proper data in DHL clearance.
