Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including specialty cuts and rotisserie chicken items. You will assist in seafood, prepared foods, and deli areas while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat cutting experience. Knowledge of wrapping machines is preferred, and candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures and ensures the meat department is clean and organized.
