Job summary

ARTECHOUSE in Washington, DC seeks a Location General Manager to lead daily operations, P&L, guest experiences, and staff culture. You will own staffing, scheduling, and vendor relationships to hit visitation and events targets while maintaining brand standards.

You bring hands-on leadership with a strong hospitality and business background, capable of driving revenue through ticketing, private events, and bar operations. This role requires weekend availability and a focus on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Multi-year leadership background as a General Manager or Managing Partner in a high-volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong operational and financial command, including direct P&L ownership and labor forecasting.
• Attraction/hospitality/museum management experience is a must.
• Experience driving revenue across multiple channels—ticketing/visitation, private events, and F&B/bar.
• Hands-on, coaching-oriented leadership with rigorous standards.
• Excellent customer service and guest handling in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee location performance with executive leadership over operations, P&L, guest hospitality, and staff culture.
• Drive profitability by managing labor, inventory, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Lead private events and live programming as revenue channels from logistics to on-site management.
• Own bar operations as a revenue center, including staffing, inventory, and compliance.
• Recruit, train, and develop front‑ and back‑of‑house teams with a hospitality‑driven culture.
