Job summary

ARTECHOUSE is seeking an Assistant Location Manager in the Washington, DC area to lead a team for private events and live programming. You will oversee daily operations, guest experience, and facility management, ensuring top-notch service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, event coordination, and the ability to work evenings/weekends. You will manage up to 25 staff, collaborate with vendors, and uphold safety standards across the venue.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing teams of up to 25; hospitality or venue ops background preferred.
• Strong leadership and customer service mindset; able to work evenings/weekends.
• Flexible, self-motivated with ability to build processes and manage live events.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable with physical tasks in a fast-paced venue.
• Experience coordinating private events and overseeing daily venue operations.

Responsibilities

• Enhance visitor experience by prioritizing exceptional customer service.
• Engage with guests, address complaints, feedback and inquiries effectively.
• Assist with daily operations, including location sales, maintenance, housekeeping, and exhibition/tech ops.
• Coordinate and oversee private events and live programming logistics and staffing outside standard hours.
• Oversee daily staffing of 20–25 people to optimize sales and visitor engagement.
• Serve as safety officer to ensure OSHA/ADA compliance and safe workplace.
• Plan facilities projects and manage vendor/contractor relationships for maintenance and repairs.
• Execute opening and closing procedures diligently.
• Model ARTECHOUSE values and translate vision into team actions.
