Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Production Management Specialist to oversee the production process from inception through closure, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while achieving creative objectives and high-quality standards.

You will produce small to medium projects across exhibits, events, experiential marketing, and tradeshow formats, and support the Lead Production Manager on larger initiatives, reporting to the Director of Production Management & CAD Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in special events, theatre, exhibit, or entertainment related production management.
• Experience in fabrication of scenery, exhibits, props, or permanent display installations.
• Experience with estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of current codes, production procedures and materials and installation methods unique to our business units.
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows based computer systems and software including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or Vectorworks.
• Experience with estimating and project management software a plus.
• Excellent customer service, problem solving skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams across many levels of management.
• Must be very detail-oriented, possessing exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with personnel, venue staff and clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, competently handling deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify costs of producing the job, develop budgets and submit costs for proposals.
• Establish fabrication and production techniques based on design objectives and budget constraints.
• Identify critical path for fabrication and publish a realistic timetable.
• Ensure CAD drawings are correct and complete.
• Produce orders for fabrication and distribute with drawings to departments.
• Address production issues to prevent cost overruns.
• Maintain information flow between departments throughout production.
• Attend and conduct job-specific meetings as needed.
• Conduct site surveys to verify venue information.
• Write purchase orders for subcontracted rentals or materials.
• Review production status to meet objectives and budgets.
• Develop on-site logistics for installation of items.
• Ensure production meets budget and quality standards.
• Review post-event to identify improvements and apply learnings.
• Distribute post-project information into the project folder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel.
