Job summary

Hargrove, Inc. in Lanham, MD is seeking a Production Management Specialist to oversee the production process from inception to close, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while meeting creative objectives.

The role covers small to medium projects across exhibits, events, experiential marketing, and tradeshows, supporting the lead Production Manager on larger projects, reporting to the Director of Production Management & CAD Engineering, and requiring on-site work with travel

Qualifications

3+ years in special events, theatre, or exhibit production management.
Experience fabrication of scenery, exhibits, props, or permanent displays.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in Windows and MS Office; CAD tools such as AutoCAD/Vectorworks.

Responsibilities

Identify production costs, develop budgets, and submit costs to sales for proposals.
Establish fabrication techniques within design objectives and budget.
Define critical path and publish a realistic timetable for fabrication.
Produce orders for fabrication and distribute with drawings to departments.
Manage on-site logistics and review progress to meet budget and quality goals.
Communicate across departments and attend job meetings as needed.
Travel as required to sites and installations.
