Job summary

Inwood Animal Clinic in New York City seeks an experienced receptionist to greet clients and patients, triage concerns, answer calls or emails, and schedule appointments to optimize daily flow. You will maintain a welcoming front desk and assist with payments while offering compassionate support during difficult times.

We value bilingual Spanish/English capabilities and at least 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team player and strong communicator.
• Highly organized with computer skills and able to multitask.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to: Greeting clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
• Prior leadership experience is a plus!
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized and possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Additional Information

Pay range: $17–$23 per hour, depending on experience
