Job summary

Alliance Animal Health is seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist to manage front-desk duties in Indianapolis. You will greet clients, triage concerns, schedule appointments, and handle payments with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of veterinary front-desk experience, excellent organizational and computer skills, and a proactive, friendly approach to support clients during various medical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experienced receptionist with veterinary experience preferred.
  • Compassionate, calm, team player, and strong communicator.
  • Highly organized with solid computer skills.
  • Self-starter eager to grow knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients and maintain the reception area.
  • Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party.
  • Triage client concerns and schedule appointments to maximize flow.
  • Check in/out clients and process payments.
  • Provide friendly emotional support with discretion.
  • Be comfortable with potential odors, noises, bites, scratches, and waste.

Job Duties

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

  • Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
