Job summary

PAPE' KENWORTH – SANTA MARIA, CA is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic to diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will work in a fully equipped shop, maintaining uptime and ensuring safety while delivering top-quality work.

The role requires 2+ years in truck repair, Diesel tech background preferred, and the ability to work a Tue–Sat schedule. Competitive pay and strong benefits accompany this position at PAPE'.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks with engine repair and electrical troubleshooting.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or rebuild major components such as engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and air systems.
• Collaborate with a team in a fully equipped shop and pursue ongoing skill growth.
