Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Santa Maria, CA is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join our team. You will maintain and repair medium and heavy‑duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, diagnosing issues to keep customers on the road.

We offer robust training, competitive pay between $33.80 and $38.15 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and a family‑owned, stable culture with opportunities for growth. Tuesday–Saturday days with a team of skilled technicians, own tools appreciated and Cummins/MX experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience on medium/heavy trucks (Class 7/8); engine, electrical, HVAC, and chassis work.
• Ability to provide own tools; self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Cummins and MX software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Class 7/8 medium/heavy trucks to high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or rebuild major components (engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.).
• Collaborate in a fully equipped shop to deliver top-quality work.
