Pape’ Kenworth in Santa Maria, CA is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair medium and heavy‑duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. The role focuses on accurate, efficient work to maximize uptime for customers.

You'll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, rebuild major components when needed, and grow your skills in a fully equipped shop with training and support. Schedule: Tue–Sat, 9:30am–6:00pm, plus Saturday 8am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks including engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, and chassis.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred; must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks to high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to restore peak performance.
• Work with a team in a fully equipped shop to deliver top-quality work.
• Schedule: Tuesday–Friday 9:30am–6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am–4:30pm.
