Five Education is looking for an experienced SEND Teacher for students with a range of additional needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and specific learning disabilities (SLD). The school is based in Yeovil. The successful candidate will have previous SEN teaching experience and a developed understanding of teaching methods that support students with complex learning needs. You will be eager to develop your pedagogy by learning more about PMLD and specific learning disabilities. Teaching materials and resources are provided; however, the school encourages individuality, so you are welcome to adapt learning materials to make your lessons outstanding. The school has a supportive staff cohort and good facilities, with a strong ethos of fostering ambition, inclusion, and achievement within every person in the school. The successful candidate will benefit from a pay rate dependent on experience.
Pay is £130–180 per day. Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as an admin fee or employer's NI. Pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as they are currently under-represented at this level.
