Job summary

Hunter Mountain is seeking an Experienced Rental Technician to join the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 team. You will provide equipment services and guest information for an optimal mountain experience.

Starting wage is described, with full-time and part-time hours available, plus growth opportunities and industry-leading training. This role requires a strong customer focus and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a guest-facing or service role.
  • Ability to perform ski/snowboard tuning and basic repairs.
  • HS Diploma or GED or equivalent education required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent guest service and advise on gear conditions.
  • Perform tuning and repair services for guests.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain safety standards.
  • Assist with cashiering, rental processes, or other departments as needed.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent guest service while advising on gear conditions.
  • Perform both tuning and repair services for guests.
  • Work together with teammates tomaintainsafety standards.
  • May include other responsibilities such as cashiering, retail sales, rentals, or other departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • 1-3 years previous leadership experience or demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and lead others.
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Display mechanical aptitude to be able to perform ski and snowboard tunes, maintenance or repairs.(ONLY FOR WINTER)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Commitment to exceptional Customer Service.
  • Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate fluently through spoken and written English.

The expected pay range is $23.75/hr - $26.57/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
