Our ERs are safe, accessible 24/7, and include seven accredited trauma centers. They provide immediate, life-saving care for conditions such as chest pain, injuries, high fever, seizures, poisonings, and other critical ailments. Our network facilitates the sharing of expertise across hospitals and practices to deliver optimal emergency care.
Positions are available on various shifts, including weekends and per diem options. Full-time roles are 36 or 40 hours weekly; part-time are less than 36 hours; per diem requires a minimum of 2 shifts/month. Successful candidates will complete initial classroom and unit orientations.
Minimum one year of Emergency Department nursing experience required. All nurses must maintain current BLS certification. New nurses with less than one year of experience are encouraged to apply through our internship program at https://www.slhn.org/nursing-opportunities.
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).
Ability to sit up to 2 hours, stand up to 10 hours, walk 6 hours daily, lift up to 75 lbs, and transport patients up to 500 lbs. Must have normal hearing, vision, touch, and the ability to perceive attributes of objects.
