St. Luke’s ERs are safe, accessible 24/7, and equipped to provide immediate, life-saving care, including specialized stroke and heart attack treatment. With seven trauma centers accredited at various levels, our staff manages a wide range of critical conditions, ensuring the community receives top-tier emergency services. Our network facilitates seamless information sharing among hospitals and physician practices to optimize patient outcomes.
Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekends and per diem options. Full-time roles are 36 or 40 hours weekly; part-time roles are less than 36 hours; and per diem requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Applicants must complete initial classroom training followed by unit orientation.
Minimum of one year of emergency department nursing experience is required. An individualized orientation program is provided. Maintain current BLS certification. Nurses with less than one year of experience are encouraged to visit our internship page: https://www.slhn.org/nursing-opportunities.
Must be a Registered Nurse with an active license in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).
Must be able to sit up to 2 hours, stand for up to 10 hours, walk for 6 hours, and lift objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as stooping, reaching, and perceiving attributes through touch. Hearing and vision capabilities must meet general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision standards.
