Our ERs are SAFE and provide immediate, life-saving medical care, including award-winning stroke and heart attack treatment. With 7 accredited trauma centers, our emergency rooms treat thousands of patients annually, operating 24/7. Shift Details

Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekend and per diem options. Full-time roles are 36 or 40 hours per week; part-time roles are less than 36 hours. Holiday and weekend requirements vary by unit and policy. Per diem positions require a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Candidates must complete initial classroom orientation followed by unit orientation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-care team members to maintain professional standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper release of information.
  • Demonstrate and model the Network’s Service Excellence Standards in interactions with all customers.
  • Adhere to attendance and dress code policies.
  • Assess, treat, and communicate appropriately based on patient age and developmental stage.
Training and Experience

Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience is required. An individualized orientation program is provided. Maintain current BLS certification. Nurses with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to visit our internship page here.

Education

Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Must be able to sit (up to 2 hours), stand (up to 10 hours), walk (6 hours), and lift objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher. Must have normal hearing, vision, touch perception, and the ability to perceive attributes of objects.
