Our Critical Care Units (Intensive Care /ICUs) are located across 9 hospital campuses. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team using a patient-centered approach, prioritizing clinical excellence and patient safety. The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care, assessment, and team coordination for critically ill patients across their lifespan.
Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekend programs and per diem options. Full-time positions are 36 or 40 hours per week; part-time is less than 36 hours; and per diem requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Applicants must be able to complete initial classroom orientation followed by unit orientation.
Minimum of one year of critical care nursing experience required. All nurses undergo an individualized orientation program. Current BLS certification is required. For nurses with less than one year of experience, please visit our internship page: https://www.slhn.org/nursing-opportunities
Current Registered Nurse license valid in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).
Must be able to sit up to 2 hours, stand up to 10 hours, walk up to 6 hours, and lift objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. Must perceive attributes through touch, hear normal conversation and high/low frequencies, and see across various visual ranges.
