Critical Care Units

Our Critical Care Units (Intensive Care / ICUs) are located across 9 hospital campuses, providing care through a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach. Clinical excellence and patient safety are our highest priorities. The Registered Nurse in the ICU is responsible for delivering high-quality care, assessment, and coordinating team efforts to care for critically ill patients across their lifespan using the nursing process.

  • Geisinger St. Luke’s Campus, Orwigsburg, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Miners Campus, Coaldale, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Upper Bucks Campus, Quakertown, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Warren Campus, Phillipsburg NJ
Shift Details

Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekend programs and per diem options. Apply now to speak with a recruiter about current openings!

  • Full-time, 36 or 40 hours per week
  • Part-time, less than 36 hours per week
  • Holiday and weekend requirements per unit and company policies
  • Per Diem, minimum of 2 shifts/month
  • Ability to complete initial 7 business days of classroom and unit orientation
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill patients through assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and documentation of care effects.
  • Collaborate with ancillary, nursing, and other team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all handled materials and ensure proper release of information.
  • Demonstrate and model the Network’s Service Excellence Standards in all interactions.
  • Adhere to attendance and dress code policies.
  • Assess and treat patients appropriately for their age, demonstrating competency in growth, development, and communication.
Training and Experience

Minimum of one year of Critical Care Nursing experience required. An individualized orientation program is provided for all areas. Current BLS certification is required. Education

Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Must be able to sit (up to 2 hours), stand (up to 10 hours), walk (up to 6 hours), and lift objects up to 75 lbs. Transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher. Must have normal hearing, vision, touch, and the ability to perceive attributes of objects.
