Care Environment

Our Critical Care Units (Intensive Care/ICUs) across 9 hospital campuses utilize a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach. Clinical excellence and patient safety are our top priorities. The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-level care, assessment, and team coordination for critically ill patients across their lifespan, following the nursing process.

  • Geisinger St. Luke’s Campus, Orwigsburg, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Miners Campus, Coaldale, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Upper Bucks Campus, Quakertown, Level 4 Trauma Center
  • Warren Campus, Phillipsburg NJ
Shift Details

Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekend programs and per diem options. Apply now to discuss current openings with a recruiter!

  • Full-time, 36 or 40 hours per week
  • Part-time, less than 36 hours per week
  • Holiday and weekend requirements per unit and company policies
  • Per Diem, minimum of 2 shifts/month

Candidates must be able to complete an initial 7-day classroom orientation followed by unit orientation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill patients using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and document care effects.
  • Collaborate with ancillary, nursing, and other healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the network/entity and ensure proper release of information.
  • Exhibit and model the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in all interactions.
  • Adhere to attendance and dress code policies of the network and department.
  • Assess and treat patients appropriately considering their age, growth, development, and communication needs.
Training and Experience

Minimum of one year of critical care nursing experience required. An individualized orientation program is provided for all areas. Maintain current BLS certification. Educational Requirements

Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus).

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Must be able to sit up to 2 hours per day, stand for up to 10 hours, walk 6 hours, and lift/carry/push objects up to 75 lbs. Must be able to transport patients weighing up to 500 lbs. through various means. Must have adequate sensory functions: touch, hearing, and vision.
