Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• Current Rhode Island state license to work.
• Must hold ARRT certification and mammography certification.
• ISCD (or ARRT) certificate if performing BD exams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aging, development and cultural patterns in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explain mammographic and bone density exams to patients to reduce apprehension.
• Ensure safety and comfort for all patients.
• Schedule and manage patient flow for bone density and mammography exams.
• Perform diagnostic procedures with proper positioning and technical factors.
• Operate radiographic equipment in the Radiology Department.
• Image processing and sending to PACS for physician review.
• Maintain quality control for mammography and bone density units.
• Follow MQSA, ACR and ISCD guidelines for QA/QC.
