Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist who will operate mammography equipment producing high-quality images while providing excellent patient care. The technologist will work closely with radiologists and ensure safe practices during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have two years of formal training in Radiologic Technology and necessary certifications. This position focuses on patient-centered care and requires adherence to established protocols for quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Must maintain requirements outlined by the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
• Ability to determine means for providing mammography images of acceptable quality.
• Skills to work amicably with radiologists and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Instructs patient regarding procedure and positioning for mammography.
• Operates mammography equipment to produce high quality images.
• Assists physician in specialized examinations using sterile technique.

Education

Two years formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology

Registration through the American Registry of Radiology Technology in Mammography

Current CPR certification from AHA
