Job summary

AMS Staffing Inc. is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support trial attorneys in managing a high-volume docket. The role requires proactive, detail-oriented candidates with extensive knowledge of state and federal procedures, including the TRCP.

Strong organizational and deadline-management skills are essential, with availability for overtime during trial prep. The position offers a hybrid work environment with potential for WFH after ramp-up, and a generous salary and benefits

Qualifications

Six+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
In-depth understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and relevant federal rules.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, PACER/ECF, and E-File Texas.
Familiarity with Trial Director and e-discovery platforms (preferred).
Strong internet research and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to work overtime, including evenings/weekends during trial prep.

Responsibilities

Draft and format shell discovery responses, correspondence, and pleading shells.
Prepare hearing and trial notebooks.
Manage and maintain calendaring of court deadlines, hearings, and discovery obligations.
E-file documents in state and federal courts using E-File Texas and PACER/ECF.
Conduct cite checking and Bluebooking (preferred).
Assist with trial preparation and provide hot seat trial support (highly preferred).
Coordinate with attorneys and vendors regarding e-discovery and trial exhibits.
Perform internet and legal research using Westlaw and other platforms.
