A leading law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal for any office location. Position Overview: Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, P.C. has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This role can be based at any of our office locations within the firm's footprint. The position offers flexibility, including remote work options, with occasional travel for training, trial preparation, and in-person events.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, with at least five years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage and review complex litigation documents, and be proficient in Relativity or similar platforms. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams and Asana is preferred.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive support to trial counsel throughout all litigation stages, including drafting legal documents, conducting factual investigations, and assisting in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Support during trial proceedings is also required.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in electronic and paper filing procedures in state and federal courts, knowledge of court rules, and legal research skills are essential. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are critical. Ability to manage multiple projects, work overtime, and travel for trials is required. Experience in recording billable hours accurately is necessary.
