Position Overview: Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, P.C. has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This role can be based at any office within the firm's footprint, offering flexibility including remote work with occasional travel for training, trial preparation, and in-person events.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, with at least five years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, managing complex litigation documents, and proficient in Relativity or similar platforms. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Asana is preferred.
Responsibilities: Support trial counsel throughout litigation stages, including drafting legal documents, conducting factual investigations, and assisting in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Provide support during trial proceedings and manage electronic and paper filings in state and federal courts, with knowledge of court rules and legal research.
Skills and Attributes: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects, work overtime, and travel as needed. Experience with billable hours recording is required.
