Job summary

Sam Leman Automotive Group in Bloomington, IL is seeking an experienced Automotive License & Title Clerk to manage titles, registrations, and related dealership paperwork. This role demands accuracy in a fast-paced accounting office and the ability to coordinate with lenders and state agencies.

We require at least 2 years of title experience, strong knowledge of Illinois procedures, and a detail-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Two years of automotive dealership title experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois title and registration procedures.
• Experience in dealership accounting office.
• Familiarity with CDK, CVR, ATC, or Dealertrack is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong communication and team-oriented attitude.
• Experience with McDavid products and Illinois dealership compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicle titles, registrations, tax payments, and title assignments.
• Handle paperwork for new and used vehicle sales, dealer trades, and out-of-state transactions.
• Stock vehicles into dealership inventory systems.
• Reconcile statements, accounting entries, and related documentation.
• Research and resolve title discrepancies and registration issues.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois titling regulations and dealership requirements.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and state agencies as needed.
• Assist with additional accounting responsibilities and special projects.

We're looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented professional to join our Bloomington accounting office. If you know your way around vehicle titles, registrations, and dealership paperwork, we offer an opportunity to put your experience to work with one of Central Illinois' leading automotive groups.

This is an experienced position requiring at least 2 years of automotive dealership title experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
