Job summary

Sam Leman Automotive Group in Bloomington, IL seeks an experienced Automotive License & Title Clerk to manage titles, registrations, and dealership paperwork. This role requires strong attention to detail and prior automotive title experience.

You will handle title work for new/used vehicle sales, ensure regulatory compliance, and support accounting tasks within a growing family-owned group with 13 dealerships. Prior CDK/Dealertrack knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive dealership title experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois title and registration procedures.
• Previous dealership accounting office experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with CDK, CVR, ATC, or Dealertrack is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicle titles, registrations, tax payments, and title assignments.
• Handle paperwork for new and used vehicle sales, dealer trades, and out-of-state transactions.
• Stock vehicles into dealership inventory systems.
• Reconcile statements, accounting entries, and related documentation.
• Research and resolve title discrepancies and registration issues.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois titling regulations and dealership requirements.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and state agencies as needed.
• Assist with additional accounting responsibilities and special projects.
