Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates local to the DFW area have the option to work from the office. Candidates must have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team! The role involves managing collection processes including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing-related issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and the ability to work in compliance with federal and state regulations related to billing and collections.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Home infusion experience is a plus.
• CPR and CareTend experience are advantageous.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality, supporting them in their care process.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues when necessary.
• Evaluate payments and denials for accuracy and apply them appropriately.
• Identify and process bad debt write-offs and adjustments per policies.
• Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve them.
• Handle refund requests according to policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary patient or insurance information.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory mandates and guidelines.
• Verify billing accounts against the receivable ledger.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and document interactions thoroughly.
• Seek opportunities to maximize claim reimbursements.
• Resolve denial issues within five days of receipt.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical billing codes.
• Share knowledge with team members and collaborate effectively.
• Interact positively and professionally with all stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
