Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, requiring 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. Committed to Innovation, Stewardship, and Unity, we aim to advance quality and improve lives by providing high-quality products and services that enhance the care experience.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities include contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years healthcare industry experience.
  • 3-5 years medical billing and collections experience.
  • Home infusion experience preferred.
  • CPR/CareTend experience is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Follow up on invoices for prompt payment; escalate issues as needed.
  • Evaluate payments and denials, apply correctly.
  • Identify and process bad debt write-offs and adjustments.
  • Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments.
  • Process refunds per policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments for information needed for claims.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Verify billing accounts and reconcile payments.
  • Troubleshoot payment discrepancies.
  • Document all communications thoroughly.
  • Maximize claim reimbursements.
  • Resolve denials within 5 days.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Understand NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and insurance plans.
  • Share knowledge and work collaboratively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
  • Judgment and problem-solving skills respecting laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Integrity and credibility.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Proficiency with ICD-9 and ICD-10, medical terminology, and Microsoft Office.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
