Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates local to the DFW area may work from the office. Candidates must have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. Committed to Innovation, Stewardship, and Unity, we aim to advance quality and improve lives by providing quality products and services that enhance the entire care experience.

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Collection specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State billing and collection regulations.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years healthcare industry experience.
  • 3-5 years medical billing and collections experience.
  • Home infusion experience preferred.
  • CPR/Caretend experience is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Follow up on invoices to ensure timely payment, escalate issues as needed.
  • Evaluate payments and denials, ensure proper application.
  • Identify bad debts, initiate write-offs and adjustments per policies.
  • Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments.
  • Process refunds according to policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments for information needed for claims.
  • Adhere to all regulatory mandates and ensure compliance.
  • Verify billing accounts and ensure accurate posting.
  • Troubleshoot payment discrepancies.
  • Document calls and interactions thoroughly.
  • Seek areas to maximize claim reimbursement.
  • Resolve denial issues within 5 days.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Understand NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical terminology.
  • Share knowledge and work collaboratively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical terminology.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to train staff and manage work schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
