Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity but requires 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

AIC is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing-related issues with insurance companies or responsible parties for services rendered. If local to the DFW area, on-site work is an option.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, extensive knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State billing and collection regulations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Home infusion experience is preferred.
• CPR and CareTend experience are a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality, supporting them in job duties.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment; escalate issues when necessary.
• Evaluate payments and denials for correctness and apply them accordingly.
• Identify bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments; initiate in accordance with policies.
• Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve appropriately.
• Process refund requests per policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary patient or insurance information.
• Understand procedures within regulatory mandates.
• Ensure collection activities comply with federal, state, and payer regulations.
• Verify billing accounts against the receivable ledger.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and establish resolutions.
• Document all communications thoroughly.
• Maximize claim reimbursements and resolve denials within 5 days.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical billing procedures.
• Share knowledge with team members and work collaboratively.
• Interact positively and respectfully with colleagues and patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
