Experienced Infusion Commercial Insurance Collector

This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates in the DFW area may work from the office. Candidates should have 3-5 years of commercial insurance collection experience; home infusion experience is preferred.

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State regulations related to billing and collections.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience required.
• Home Infusion experience preferred.
• CPR and CareTend experience are pluses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respect patient rights to privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment; escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments/denials and ensure correct application.
• Identify bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments; initiate in accordance with policies.
• Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve.
• Process refund requests per policies.
• Coordinate with other departments for necessary patient or insurance information.
• Ensure activities comply with regulatory mandates.
• Verify billing accounts against the receivable ledger.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and establish resolutions.
• Document communications thoroughly.
• Maximize claim reimbursement opportunities.
• Resolve denial issues within 5 days.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and billing procedures.
• Share knowledge with team members and promote a positive team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
