Job summary

Curtis Machine Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment across our manufacturing facility. This is not an entry-level position; applicants must have hands-on maintenance experience and be able to diagnose equipment problems, not merely replace parts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (120V, 240V, 480V three-phase)
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and technical drawings
• Ability to prioritize repairs and work independently
• Must provide specific examples of machinery diagnosed and repaired
• Valid driver's license and dependable attendance

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Troubleshoot CNC machines, production equipment, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work
• Identify root cause of equipment failures and recommend lasting repairs
• Read electrical schematics, manuals, and mechanical drawings
• Replace bearings, belts, seals, switches, sensors, motors, and other components
• Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and startup
• Perform basic welding and fabrication when needed
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and communicate repair status to production supervisors
• Follow lockout/tagout and all company safety procedures
• Maintain facility and general building repairs as necessary
