Job summary

Tecomet, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 1st shift to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on industrial equipment and facilities.

You will receive on-the-job training and support senior technicians, contributing to safe and efficient production operations. Ideal candidates bring basic understanding of preventive maintenance, good communication, and the ability to work with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, vocational / technical training are a plus.
• 1 to 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience or assisting with repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Provided forklift training, passing certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects machinery and equipment, performing routine scheduled designated preventive maintenance.
• Monitor the progress of equipment activities, communicating with production and management for effective compliance with maintenance PM plans.
• Discusses machine operation with team, production and management to diagnose equipment problems.
• Respond to inquiries in a courteous manner, resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner.
• Dismantles defective machinery and equipment, installing new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate bearings, gears, chains and other parts of equipment.
• Maintain and repair sandblasting equipment, dust collectors and wet collectors.
• Replacement of collection barrels, filters and belts.
• Fabricates and repairs shelving, counters, benches, partitions, and other structures.
• Conducts minor building repairs as required.
