Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a field service technician to perform quality inspections and maintenance on life safety product lines, including sprinkler systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Successful candidates will have 5–7 years of experience, NICET II or equivalent license, and ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and manuals. Travel and on-call duties may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• NICET Level II or State license.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
