Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking inspectors to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines. You will document deficiencies, complete service acknowledgements, and follow a structured inspection schedule.

Ideal candidates have sprinkler systems experience, familiarity with wet/dry/pre-action/deluge systems, and the ability to meet licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in sprinkler systems.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses per codes.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of physical labor including lifting up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to work in ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call, nights, weekends.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and maintenance of life safety product lines.
• Document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete service acknowledgments/inspections with proper coding.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Assist in installation of sprinkler systems.
• Work in high/awkward positions (ladders, scaffolding, lifts).
