Job summary

Transdev in Houston, TX is hiring a Dispatcher to oversee road service through clear communication with Operators and to provide customer support to clients. The role coordinates with the field supervisor to update shift information and updates driver and bus assignments throughout the service day.

We seek customer service‑oriented professionals dedicated to safety, with a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years dispatching experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of dispatching experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance and on-time starts.
• Provide customer support regarding trips including no-shows, cancellations and missed trips.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; liaise between carrier and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
• Coordinate with field supervisor to have updated information during each shift change.
• Update driver and bus assignment information throughout the service day.
• Other duties as required.
