Job summary

Brown’s Roofing LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to evaluate opportunities, build competitive proposals, and set commercial projects up for success from the very beginning. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, prepare accurate estimates, and coordinate with our commercial sales, production, and leadership teams to ensure a smooth handoff to production.

Qualifications

• Commercial roofing or estimating experience.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and bid documents.
• Accurate takeoffs and cost understanding (labor, materials, equipment).
• Analytical with numbers; highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Clear communication with vendors and internal teams; follows through on commitments.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial roofing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and measurements.
• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects.
• Identify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
• Request and review pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to identify roofing systems and specs.
• Prepare scopes of work and proposals.
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, addenda, and proposal requirements.
• Work with our commercial sales, production, and leadership teams.
• Maintain documentation throughout the estimating process.
• Help ensure projects are properly scoped and handed off to production.
