Job summary

DOC Services is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Field Service Technician in the Richmond, VA area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment at customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires at least five years of field experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. You’ll document service activities and coordinate with stores and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience servicing equipment.
• Valid EPA certification.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile apps to document service activities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep systems running efficiently.
• Identify and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Inspect equipment and complete repairs using hand and power tools.
• Identify parts and supplies needed to complete repairs and resolve service calls efficiently.
• Document service activities and communicate updates with store managers, regional DOC supervisor, and office administrator.
• Maintain company vehicle and keep tools in good working condition.
• Follow DOC safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed to support customers and team.
