Job summary

Imagine in Bloomington, MN is seeking a General Manager- Exhibit and Retail Operations for King Tut's Tomb. You will oversee daily exhibit and retail operations, supervise staff, and ensure safety and guest satisfaction while partnering with senior leadership to drive revenue and operational excellence.

This role requires 5+ years of leadership in operations or hospitality, strong customer service, budgeting, and the ability to manage schedules and labor.

Qualifications

• 5 years of leadership or management experience in operations, retail, attractions, or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of customer service, staffing, and employee management practices.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage daily operations for efficiency and productivity.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily exhibit and retail operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and a high-quality guest experience.
• Supervise, coach, and support staff while fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor allocation; drive revenue and guest service excellence.
• Monitor and control operational expenses and implement cost containment.
• Ensure exhibit and retail spaces are clean, safe, and meet standards.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs for facility upkeep and compliance.
• Ensure safety compliance and checks throughout operation.
• Collaborate with production and leadership to troubleshoot interactive or scenic needs.
• Support onboarding and training to build team knowledge.
• Communicate updates on operational metrics to senior leadership.
• Assist in planning operational traffic flows to improve guest journey.
• Act as point of contact for guest concerns and resolve issues.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, partners, venue staff.
