Job summary

High Tech High is seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning to serve as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and help mentor, tutor, and lead activities for students on campus. The role includes planning curriculum, coordinating outreach to families, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

The position is part-time, non-exempt and in-person on campus, with no benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with students.
• Tuberculosis Clearance and DOJ Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and communication to families.
• Direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director.
• May serve as second in charge in the absence of the Aftercare Coordinator/Director.
• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students.
• Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for.
• Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging student activities.
• Assist students with learning activities and homework assignments.
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols.
