Job summary

High Tech High is seeking an Aftercare - Expanded Learning Assistant for in-person, on-campus work at the Chula Vista campus. The role supports afterschool activities, tutoring, and mentoring, with emphasis on safety, attendance, and structured enrichment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with students. The position is part-time and non-exempt, with a pay range of $20.60–$25.11 per hour and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students.

• Comfortable leading enrichment activities with students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students.
• Take attendance to ensure that all students are accounted for.
• Plan, develop and run engaging student activities.
• Assist students with virtual learning activities and homework assignments.
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
