Job summary

High Tech High in Point Loma is seeking an Expanded Learning Assistant to support after-school programming. This on-campus, part-time role involves supervising students, providing a safe study space, and guiding enrichment activities after regular school hours.

You will help with attendance, coordinate activities, assist with virtual learning and homework, and follow safety procedures. A background in working with students is preferred, and tuberculosis clearance and DOJ fingerprint background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to work well with school-aged students.
• Comfortable leading enrichment activities with students.
• Inform and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students.
• Take attendance to ensure that all students are accounted for.
• Plan, develop and run engaging student activities.
• Assist students with virtual learning activities and homework assignments.
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
