Aspen Dental in the United States is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support efficient patient flow and quality care. You will assist with directing the office team, support doctors during procedures, and manage operatory setup and sterilization to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license, registration or certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Infection control and sterilization proficiency.
• Annual CE requirements maintained as specified by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Perform sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
• Follow and monitor maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave, and compressors.
• Set up trays and operatory for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor flow.
• Comply with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
